Initial Condition and Challenges:

When we arrived, the pool deck had several issues:

  • Cracked and stained concrete surface
  • Uneven coloration from past coatings
  • Slippery finish causing safety concerns
  • Faded, tired appearance against a beautiful pool and backyard


The client wanted a seamless, textured finish that would be safe for bare feet, resistant to pool chemicals, and visually elevate the space.

Process and Solution:
Surface Preparation

We power washed and mechanically ground the entire surface to remove previous coatings, dirt, and imperfections.

All cracks were filled and leveled. Surrounding features, like the pool and house, were carefully masked to protect them.

A tinted epoxy base was applied to create strong adhesion and uniformity.
We broadcasted our custom-blend quartz evenly across the surface while the base coat was still tacky — adding strength and texture.
Once cured, we sealed the quartz with a durable, UV-stable topcoat, ensuring long-term protection and a light non-slip finish
